Welcome to the East Cornwall Search and Rescue Team
We are a dedicated group of volunteers committed to saving lives and assisting the lost, missing and injured across the rugged and beautiful landscapes of East Cornwall. Our team is on call 24/7, 365 days a year, ready to respond to emergencies in some of the most challenging terrains in the region, above and below ground.
We work closely with the other emergency services, including the police, ambulance service, and coastguard, to provide a crucial life saving service above and below ground across our area.
Our highly trained volunteers come from all walks of life, united by their passion for helping others and their love for the Cornish countryside. Covering rural areas from Goss Moor to Bodmin Moor, we also responds to incidents in more urban and semi rural areas from St Austell to Bude, and we operate in other areas across the South West and further afield to provide assistance to other teams as required.
We are entirely voluntary, with no paid staff at all, so every penny we raise goes directly in to our front line emergency service for the residents and visitors of Cornwall at a time when they need us the most.
We rely entirely on public donations and fundraising efforts to maintain our equipment and continue our life-saving work. Your support, whether through volunteering, donations, or spreading awareness, is vital to our mission.
As you explore our website, you'll find information about our team, our work, and how you can get involved or support us. Remember, if you're ever in need of assistance in the East Cornwall area, we're here to help.
